The Woo Diaries: What the psychic said!

Settle in, it’s going to be a long one!

As part of my spiritual experiment, I saw a psychic last week. I chose to do an hour with Victoria Tippett, mainly because I know her a little, having had her at my house for a strategy day, and she doesn’t act all ‘obviously spiritual’, so it felt less daunting. Now I think about it, how do obviously spiritual people act? I guess she doesn’t wear white, hold sage wherever she goes, and I’ve never seen her with a crystal ball.

She’s also never ended a message to me with ‘love and light’ which ultimately helps.

So, it was pretty interesting. Here are some things that happened:

1. She confirmed what every spiritual person has ever told me and that is that I am actually a psychic or a medium. I don’t know the difference if I’m honest, but I’ve been called both.

I’ve told this story before, but I’ll tell it again now in case you haven’t heard it. For my hen do, my sister Marie booked a medium/tarot reader for fun. We had 2 of the oldest houses in Brighton next door to each other and on the first night we all sat drinking in one house whilst the medium read our fortunes in the other.

I do a weird thing where certain places or rooms in houses scare me. I’ve been told it’s an energy thing. I just think it’s my overactive imagination, but in the house, every time I went up a certain set of stairs, I ran a bit faster because something freaked me out.  A creepy feeling.

Anyway, when it was my turn to go next door, I dutifully obliged. It wasn’t really my thing, but it was a bit of fun, so I just did it. And as soon as I walked in, the medium laughed and told me that I didn’t need her help when I was such a powerful seer myself, so what was I doing there? I laughed and told her she was mistaken. But she very strongly then told me she knew that I knew I was and was just blocking it through fear! She said the spirits were desperately trying to talk to me, and I was ignoring them.

I rolled my eyes and said ‘I’m going back to the other house’, to which she then said ‘fine, but there’s a spirit called Michael who you keep running past every time you go up the stairs in there, and he just wants to connect with you’.

I admit I shuddered and refused to go up the stairs again.

If I add to this story that my entire childhood upto about 7, I’m told I consistently moaned about the people I could see that weren’t actually there in the house I grew up in (apparently an entire family used to sit on the end of my bed. My mother says I wasn’t scared – just annoyed that they wouldn’t leave), I tend to freak out a bit!

2. We talked about the weird thing that sometimes happens when I’m working. I’ve mentioned this to some of you before.

Every now and again, I will be consulting with someone, and I’ll get a complete flash (of inspiration?) from nowhere about what they are supposed to do. I have always assumed it’s just because I understand people, or I am taking cues from them that I don’t know I’m taking, but some examples of a couple of people you know where this has happened:

Charlie Day – when Charlie first worked with me, she was known as a franchise expert, but I constantly got a loud nagging that she should be teaching sales. She hadn’t told me she knows anything about sales. I ignored it and then one day she asked me straight out if she should teach sales or franchising. I nearly fell off my chair and told her unequivocally it was sales. Then, on a trip to Portugal, I suddenly saw in my head exactly how she was going to make £500k. I told her. She was amused because I was telling her to do it in a way that I had NOT even done for myself. But I told her ‘this will just work, I sometimes just know things’ and laughed. She followed it and it worked. She made £500k very quickly, and it happened exactly as I saw it.

Victoria Dioh – first of all, Vic is a very spiritual person herself who has always told me I’m blocking my abilities (while laughing at my scepticism). She had a 1-1 with me and with barely any information, I had this entire system come into my head that she should develop. I told her about it, and she went with it and developed it into what you see today.  I have no idea where it came from. She thinks she does.

There have also been many times where someone is stuck, and I’ll suddenly say something that seems kind of out there and weird but has been right (some of you have seen me do this on hot seat calls). For instance, on a call a couple of months ago, someone said they were stuck and couldn’t be visible. I just had a really strong feeling and said ‘you’re stuck because the competitor that told you that you had no chance is still in your head’. She started crying. I was spot on. Someone had said that exact thing to her. We talked about it, and she was able to move past it.

Afterwards, someone asked me how I knew that, and I said ‘I can just read people’.

The more I think about the way I can see people, the weirder I find it. I know with certainty when someone is lying, when someone is masking sadness with aggression, when someone is pretending to be confident to hide fear or low self-esteem. I just see through it all.

But the sceptic in me thinks that’s because I’m around a lot of people, so I find it easier to see underneath it all. Or it’s intuition or something. Who knows?

3. This part is the strangest bit and the part I just can’t get on board with.

Everything Victoria had said up until this point had made sense and I like the way she tries to help people by working out why they’re stuck (she says spirits tell her). Even if, like me, you don’t believe as much in that, it still opens up your mind to think about why you might be stuck, which can never be a bad thing.

Victoria said that something happened to me as a very young child that I can’t remember that sometimes keeps me from reaching my full potential. She isn’t the first to say it. I’ve worked with trauma specialists like Caroline Strawson who have all suggested similar.  Victoria said that she felt it was something to do with me being baptised as a Catholic (this did happen when I was a baby – I was baptised again as a Mormon when I was 11).

But at the end of the day, I can’t remember it and, therefore, it doesn’t help me much. But then Victoria told me that there are 2 main spirit guides with me and one was famous!

She seemed reticent to tell me as I think she knew I’d be sceptical. I mean, out of all the spirits, it is a bit weird to suggest someone would have a famous one. But I made her tell me anyway!

Maybe, like I was, you’re hoping it’s going to be someone epic. Someone really cool.

Maybe a great entrepreneur who is guiding me through life.

But no……

It was Michael Jackson.

I will admit I can’t get on board with this bit. I still just can’t believe in spirits watching over us however hard I try, but I might be blocking it simply because I DON’T WANT MICHAEL JACKSON! (Something traumatic happened to me at my Catholic baptism, and you give me Michael Jackson as a guide? May as well tell me Jimmy Saville is hanging around me too!)

Anyway, if you want to hear something even weirder, I just got told that there’s someone really interested in my mastermind who wants to speak to me. Her name is Janet Jackson. Honestly. I’m not making that up. Make of that what you will.

So, all in all, I did actually enjoy my chat with Victoria. I think with anything it’s good to take away some of the stuff and leave other parts.

I will listen to that intuition part of me more and try to tune into whatever it is (note to any ghosts listening – this still does not mean I want to see you) and I will be more open to the fact that I clearly can feel energy of something in certain places.

I’m considering past life regression next in this experiment, but I’m put off by the fact that everyone who I know that has had it ends up being Cleopatra or Moses or someone rather than just a nobody. We can’t all be famous people. I still might do it though, just in case.

I’m carrying on with the manifesting stuff and there are some good parts happening there (including me saying loudly to Sam whilst in a casino “nobody wins the £250 jackpot on these things, maybe you’ll win it now” and he IMMEDIATELY did win it!) so I’ll tell you more about that next time.

If you think there are things I should be looking into, write back and tell me.

Till next time,

Lisa x
