I’ve started Regan Hillyer’s 27-day manifestation quest. I chose Regan because she’s apparently the most well known. Women pay her £1m to work with her for a year, and she’s been on the cover of Vogue and Tatler. I very much doubt she’d still have got those covers if she didn’t look like she looks, but who knows? Maybe she would! I like her story, although I skip past the bits where she talks about trying for years to find her path and then finding it at the grand old age of 22. There are no years before 22. You were a child before then.
Things I’ve noticed whilst going through it:
The cynic in me knows why she’s talking like she’s talking. The whispery spoken singsong up and down is a known hypnotic trust technique. I’m trying to ignore it and concentrate on the words instead, but it’s hard to quieten that cynic in me that thinks she’s acting. I’ll try harder.
What she’s saying right now actually makes sense – in today’s lesson we talked about the 80/20 rule and the compound effect. She believes 80% of what we do is the mindset/inner work and 20% action. I teach the same thing but the other way around. 80% action/20% mindset and that’s pretty much how I’ve run things up to now. But happy to switch it for a while to see what happens.
I’ve noticed that vagueness irritates me. One of the tasks is ‘how will you commit to doing this?’ It’s too vague! What do you want me to write? Time, open mind? What are you looking for? It’s why I’ve always been so step by step in my programmes. I like to be a good student, so like to know exactly what you’re looking for! It’s the swot in me.
Anyway, I completed the first two modules and tasks. Regan asked us to concentrate on one area of life, like relationships, health or wealth. I’m going with wealth simply because it’s tangible to see outcomes and also because this is the area my audience wants help with most.
A weird thing did happen with lesson 2.
In lesson 2, we had to make a choice to shift our belief system about that area and decide what you will do daily (an action) with the belief system that it will just work. I’m quite good at this part anyway, because I do generally believe things will work out, but I’ve been having an issue with the belief recently that the right people are going to apply for my high level mastermind.
We’re curating it really well this year and only inviting people in who not only are making multi-6 figures but also have the right attitude, which is generally that they want to get to 7 figures but know that it’s not just strategy that will do it. It’s personal growth and that’s what I want to help people work on, but it’s a hard sell when so many other masterminds are concentrating just on the money and, up until this week, I’ve interviewed many people that I don’t feel are the right fit.
I started to reach out to people that I thought would be a good fit and to be really clear when interviewing who I wanted in the mastermind, but this time I went in with the belief system that people completely understood that this is where the real results lie – in the internal growth work combined with strategy – and that they’d be perfect fits for the mastermind.
I interviewed 4 people who were the perfect fit in just 2 days and who got it. 3 people booked on pretty much immediately with complete trust in me and I believe the 4th will too (it’s a £25k mastermind, so that’s a high level of trust).
I want to believe it could be because my thought process is different, but my logical mind keeps telling me that’s absurd, and it’s coincidence.
I’ll keep going though, because if it is because I manifested it, then I want to see where I’m taking it.
I want to think even bigger!
